Chautauqua Park Engagement Photos | Taylor and Anthony

Dog people are my people. (That’s probably not super unusual for a Colorado wedding photographer.) If you love your dog, we can probably be friends, and I definitely want to photograph your wedding. Be forewarned though, there is a real possibility that you will receive an excessive number of photos of your dog if you bring her to your engagement session or wedding. Plenty of gorgeous photos of the two of you of course, but also a lot of dog pics. If you’re cool with that, then head over to my contact page and lets get it on the books! Taylor and Anthony, bless them, learned all of this first hand with their sunrise Chautauqua Park engagement photos. It’s not my fault little Ms. Chloe is so cute and sweet, okay?! I cannot be held accountable for her adorableness.

Real talk though, I was super nervous as I approached Chautauqua Park in the dark on the morning of their engagement session. Colorado engagement photos are pretty much always a gamble with Mother Nature, but that morning the weather was especially… questionable. It was windy, spitting rain, cold! Actually, it was downright ugly. Anthony captured the scene well when he asked, “Are we sure the sun is GOING to rise today?” But low and behold, it did. And it was well worth the wait!chautauqua park engagement photos
Chautauqua park is a regular spot for Taylor, Anthony, and Chloe. Since moving to Colorado less than a year ago they’ve done everything they can to make the most of our beautiful Centennial State, and that includes lots and lots of hikes! They are looking forward to their first Colorado winter and seeing what new adventures the snow can offer. boulder engagement photos

I just love the view of the Flatirons from Chautauqua Park! Colorado mountain wedding venues

Aspen PhotographersBesides the beautiful sunrise colors and golden light, one of the awesome perks of a sunrise session is the lack of other people. By 10:00 I’m sure these trails were swarming with hikers, and by the time sunset rolled around it would have been crowded with other photographers looking to capture the fall foliage. But we basically had the whole of Chautauqua Park to ourselves! Give or take a couple of other friendly dogs and their people who stopped for a romp with Chloe.

After our beautiful hike through the fall foliage a stop at the coffee shop seemed 100% in order. We headed over to Pearl Street to visit Ozo Coffee Company for their delicious brews and fabulous latte art. I don’t think Taylor totally believed me when I told her I could balance her ring on the coffee cup, but she extended me a little extra faith and I think it panned out for us one more time. photographers in Boulder CO

Ozo Coffee Company was the perfect spot to wrap up a sweet morning of adorable photos and a great way to start the rest of their adventure for the day: house hunting! They have all sorts of fabulous ambitions for the house they want to share together, including a barn and access to motocross trails. These two are seriously SO adventurous! I can’t wait to see the amazing home these two create together and I can’t wait to capture their beautiful wedding day in Telluride next summer! As one of Colorado’s most passionate Telluride wedding photographers I can tell you with confidence it will definitely be epic.
