Jenn and Jonah’s early relationship was full of “almosts” and “just barelys.” Jenn almost didn’t go to the party in Tucson where she first met Jonah. They met just barely before Jonah had to move to another state. Jonah asked her to be his girlfriend and stick by while they endured a three year long distance relationship with almost a dozen roses. But finally at their Cottonwood Glen at Kiowa Creek wedding this August, there were no more “almosts.” It was nothing but “completelys” and “forevers”.

Jenn and Jonah’s wedding day was full of beautiful and meaningful details. Everything from Jonah’s watch to the altar decor and finally Jenn’s garters were chosen with care and love. For her “something blue” Jenn had a piece of her grandfather’s shirts sown into her gown because she wanted him with her on her day. And check out those Badgely Mischka heels! The stuff bridal dreams are made of, certainly the perfect complement to her lace gown.
Something I also love about this Cottonwood Glen at Kiowa Creek wedding is the charming bridal suite where Jenn got ready for her big day. The hall rang with the laughter of the bride as well as her whole bridal party as Preslee Thompson of Preslee Hair Style and Demie Moore did their fabulous work.
Even more laughter from Jenn’s sister and mom as they helped her dress! There might have also been a few tears shed in joy. Stick around for a few more photos and you might see Jonah similarly emotional a few photos down!
Jonah and his boys meanwhile enjoyed a pre-wedding toast downstairs in Kiowa Creek’s Club House, the manly yin to the bridal suite’s feminine yang. He opened his card (which choked him up) and then a gift from Jenn. a beautiful watch and a surprise engraving in his ring. Poor guy had some trouble making out the inscription, but what else are groomsmen (and cell phones) for?!
One of the most beautiful parts of Jenn and Jonah’s Cottonwood Glen at Kiowa Creek wedding was all the people who came to celebrate with them. It’s so exciting to see all those faces, like Jonah’s mom’s, shining with love and joy for these two people.
I am SO OBSESSED with the Cottonwood Glen at Kiowa Creek wedding ceremony site. It is stunning in it’s simplicity and natural beauty.
Jonah became totally overwhelmed at the moment he saw Jenn walk down the aisle. He held the hand of his aunt (who officiated) for support and tried to hold back tears of joy. And who could blame the guy?! Just look at his beautiful bride!
This Cottonwood Glen at Kiowa Creek wedding was also an emotional ceremony for everyone else!
Jenn and Jonah continued honoring jewish traditions with another of my favorite moments: signing their ketubah. I’m always blown away by how beautiful ketubahs are!! Certainly way cooler than the typical marriage license (which was also signed).
What visit to Kiowa Creek would be complete without a ride in the back of a pickup truck?! The bridal party headed up to the reception while we stole Jenn and Jonah away for a few quiet moments and gorgeous photos.
More special and emotionally charged details with Jen’s bouquet, designed by Something Borrowed, LLC. That gorgeous lace holding her bouquet? Those are pieces of her mother’s wedding gown! It’s certainly a unique way to celebrate the bride’s mom that I’ve never seen!
I adore all the greenery and white candles at Jenn and Jonah’s wedding, maybe because that’s totally my personal style too!!
If you haven’t had your fill of unique and beautiful details (I know I haven’t), then check out this table of amazing family wedding photos!
Beautiful food always excites me at weddings. I just love food anyway, but when it’s eye candy too..! Check out these beautiful veggies from Relish! They also did the red velvet cake and adorable mini-cupcakes too!
All of the speeches given at Jenn and Jonah’s Cottonwood Glen at Kiowa Creek wedding reception were ON POINT! Each one, starting with Jenn’s dad, brought on laughter then tears with memories and well wishes for the couple’s future together.
The dance floor at Kiowa Creek is just as elegant and simply stunning as their ceremony site. The bistro lights were the perfect backdrop for Jenn and Jonah’s special dances with their parents and each other. It’s so easy to tell during that first dance what is in store for newlyweds. One look at Jenn and Jonah as they twirled around, surrounded by smiling happy faces; it’s not hard to see the “forevers” coming their way.
Congratulations Jenn and Jonah! Nate and I absolutely loved being a part of your wedding day and we wish you all the very best forevers life can give!
