When your backyard is a lush and varied garden jungle, you don’t have to go too far for engagement photos! Jayme and Pierson’s Denver backyard engagement was the perfect way to celebrate the life they’ve built together. Jayme says they’ve been gardening together since before they lived together! Does love make plants grow bigger? I think it must after frolicking in the backyard garden of these two!

Their backyard isn’t all work and harvest though! They have the biggest, most luxurious hammock surround by raspberries. Why yes, yes this Denver backyard engagement does sound like a fairytale.

Pierson’s favorite spot in their backyard is by far his forest of hops, and the guy has every reason to be proud. I picked his brain about growing hops and he was so obliging. Apparently you shouldn’t expect hops to produce for the first two years of growth, but these (on their second year) are already looking so full and beautiful! Yeah, those two love birds in the middle are pretty darn good looking too! Pierson says that when the hops are ready he’ll be brewing his own beer. The couples I photograph are always So. Much. Cooler. than me.

Looking at their Denver backyard engagement photos you might think that Jayme and Pierson’s adorable home is out in the boonies or the ‘burbs. But they make all that green wonder happen right in the middle of the city! We took a very short walk down their street to enjoy this amazing view of the Denver skyline! Their very sweet pup, Bear, was our supervisor and chaperone. "Denver

Of course I can’t photograph a session where a dog is present without taking a portrait of said furry darling. Bear has the SWEETEST old man face!!
